Last summer, Sharp blew us away with a stunning bezel-less smartphone. Now, the company is back with two new Aquos handsets sets. Lets take a look at the Aquos Xx flagship phablet and the mid-range Sharp Aquos Crystal 2.
The Aquos Xx is Sharp’s biggest phone ever, packing a 5.7-inch 1080p display. It also comes equipped with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 3000mAh battery, a 13.1-megapixel rear camera and Android 5.0 Lollipop. It’s available in black, white or red and features a water resistant design.
Next up is the super sleek Aquos Crystal 2, which mixes midrange specs with a gorgeous design. The device packs a 5.2-inch display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera and a water resistant design. It comes in blue, white, black or red with a textured back and an edge-to-edge screen in front.
Unfortunately there’s no word on when (or if) these devices are headed to U.S. stores. For now they’re likely limited to Japan, but it’s possible we’ll see Sprint pick up at least one later this year. That’s what happened last summer with the original Aquos Crystal.
The device wasn’t announced for the U.S. market until August though, so it could be a few more months before we know anything for sure.
