Here’s The Witcher 3 running on max and min PC settings

If you’re playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on the PC and wondering how your rig will fare with the title, this clip might answer a few of your questions.

The folks at Computec have posted a video that compares the maximum settings to the minimum settings on the PC platform. Now, there’s obviously some compression that happens when clips are uploaded to YouTube, but the gap in detail between both games is large enough to notice.

If you have to gimp into the lowest recommended settings in order to run The Witcher 3, it honestly doesn’t look too bad. You’ll probably wish you had the scratch to upgrade your rig, but minimum won’t be awful as long as you can run it at a rock solid framerate.

Curious about the specs needed? Here they are.

Minimum System Requirements

  • Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz
  • AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
  • Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660
  • AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
  • RAM 6GB
  • OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
  • DirectX 11
  • HDD Space 40 GB

Recommended System Requirements

  • Intel CPU Core i7 3770 3,4 GHz
  • AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 4 GHz
  • Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770
  • AMD GPU Radeon R9 290
  • RAM 8GB
  • OS 64-bit Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1)
  • DirectX 11
  • HDD Space 40 GB

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt officially launches tomorrow, but it will unlock today for some regions of the world. Check the marketplace you purchased it from for exact details.
