Big-Bang-Theory

That little Chromecast, man, it just keep getting better and better with age. I’ve owned my $35 dongle for, I suppose, a year or so now, and I still use it all the time. On Friday, several new apps began offering streaming support right to the Chromecast.

That includes HGTV, which is awesome if you’re a fan of Property Brothers like myself. Additionally, you’ll find updated apps for FXNOW, HGTV, Fox Now and CBS All Access. PlutoTV and Haystack are also among the new apps; PlutoTV has its own TV guide and listing of more than 100 streaming stations to choose from. Haystack is a news app that curates content based on your tastes.

Google warns, of course, that you may need to sign in with your existing cable provider in order to access some of the streaming content, which is always par for the course. Hit the source to learn more, or update your apps to gain Chromecast support.
