ZenWatch users are getting the Android 5.1.1 update

The rollout of Android 5.1.1 to the full lineup of Android Wear devices has been very slow in the early going, but it sounds like that’s about to change. Multiple users around the Internet are reporting the update is currently hitting the ASUS ZenWatch, meaning the LG Watch Urbane isn’t the only fancy pants in town.

We recently published a video (below) detailing everything that’s new in the latest Android Wear update, from Wi-Fi connectivity, to always-on apps. Compared to updates in the past, this is one of the bigger ones, making the wait all that more excruciating.

The update should be rolling out to the entire Android Wear family at any moment, including the Moto 360, LG G Watch R, etc., though it doesn’t appear Google has been in a particular hurry to roll it out.

We have a ZenWatch in the office, but it hasn’t received the update yet. Has yours? For now, check out our feature tour below.
