How long have we been waiting to type the words “The Witcher 3 launch trailer?” It’s seemed like an eternity, but the day is finally here! We are mere sunsets away from finally getting to play the most critically acclaimed game of the year, and even its launch trailer towers over the competition.
CD Projekt RED pulled out all the stops for this one. Geralt comes into contact with a red-headed beauty who obviously has spoken with him before. Her seduction does not work on his steely personality, and she shows her true form before luring him into a dusty barn. A stiff potion later, Geralt is ready to claim his prize, just like in the game. Excellent stuff.
What really hits home is just how insignificant this struggle is in the grand world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This scene that CD Projekt RED portrays so perfectly is just an everyday occurrence in the life of Geralt. No strings. No stakes. I mean, it takes place in a dusty barn where nobody will really hear of this tale besides his clients. Just another day on the job.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on May 19. Stay tuned for our thoughts.
