When it comes to the world of Dragon Ball video games, seldom does the franchise live up to the love and expectations its large fanbase carries. It’s good news, then, that Dragon Ball Xenoverse did so well.
In its annual report for financials running from April 1, 2014 until March 31st, 2015, Bandai Namco revealed that Dragon Ball Xenoverse sold more than 2.06 million units since its February 5, 2015 release date. Those are fantastic numbers, and the game did fairly well critically.
That’s a whole lot of good news for Dragon Ball fans. I’m no soothsayer, but I’d wager that Bandai Namco is really happy with these sales and the strong reception for its latest in the Dragon Ball gaming arena. Given those two facts, I assume we’ll see more from them in a very similar vein.
Our own Ron Duwell is quite the Dragon Ball fan, and he really dug Xenoverse for its time altering stuff and the ability to play as most of his favorite characters. I’m sure he’s wishing one or two would get added to the roster, but that’s a minor nitpick for a series that used to sit steeping in complaints.
Have you played Xenoverse? Are you a fan?
