Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition is set to launch towards the latter portion of this month on the Nintendo 3DS, and it will certainly see a wave of brand new gamers as it jumps from mobile devices to Nintendo’s handheld with the famous plumbers and the Mushroom Kingdom in two.
As such, it’s likely that tons of these new players won’t really have the best strategies in mind when it comes time to match three (or more) in order to defeat round after round of monsters.
Enter these two new videos from the U.K. arm of Nintendo. They show off the letter L in flying and standard patterns, and they demonstrate exactly how important the simple jewel moving shape is.
Here’s the deal: Dragging any piece around the Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition board will shift other shapes along the way. The L pattern in both of these forms will let players shift shapes in ways that they actually want, leading to the formation of combinations and huge matches that will quickly down enemies.
It’s crucial, especially in the later stages of these games, to move with genuine purpose.
Puzzle & Dragons Super Mario Bros. Edition will hit the Nintendo 3DS on May 22, 2015. Will have more on the game as it comes.
