We’ve already seen what the Oppo R7 and its awesome edge-to-edge screen look like from the front. Now, the company’s finally offering a look at the device’s profile in the latest teaser for the upcoming Android smartphone.
The Oppo R7 and its chamfered metal frame look pretty nice from the side, though we do notice a slight camera hump in back. That’s become more common as smartphones continue to slim down, but it still looks kind of weird from this angle. Based the device’s Chinese certification we’re expecting it to come in at 6.3mm thick, compared to Apple’s 6.9mm iPhone 6.
Other rumored specs include a 4.7-inch 1080p display, a 20-megapixel rear camera, an octa-core MediaTek processor, a 2,000mAh battery, LTE support and dual SIM card slots. The company may also offer a bigger and more powerful Oppo R7 Plus, though it’s possible that could come later this year.
The Oppo R7 is set to make its official debut later this month, though the Chinese phone-maker still hasn’t set a date for its grand unveiling. We’re expecting the new device to arrive in China first, but we can only hope it won’t be too long before it gets a global rollout as well.
