Not a Hero, the upcoming 2D shooter from OlliOlli dev Roll7, has been delayed – but just a little bit. Instead of releasing on May 7, the game will release on May 14 – just a week later.
As the gif above demonstrates, the purpose of this delay is to double the game’s framerate and, therefore, the amount fun per second.
“Throughout the rigorous beta testing phase of Not a Hero, the most consistent feedback was to increase the frame rate to 59fps,” said producer Simon Bennett in the announcement. “Well, we went a step further and took Not a Hero up to 60fps. You’re welcome.”
Not a Hero currently has a demo available on Steam, and the game will be available on Steam, GOG, and the Humble Store when it releases next week.
Not a Hero releases May 14 for PC and will hit PlayStation 4 and PS Vita at a later date as well.
