With all the information Treyarch released this last weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, it’s surprising that they had very little to say about its Zombie mode aside from it existing.
Here’s what we know about it so far, though. The Zombie mode will feature its own storyline and experience-based progression system.
Studio Head Matt Lamia says that should add “even more depth and replayability to what was already an inherently replayable mode.”
There aren’t really any images to speak of yet. VG247 saw a piece of artwork that showed a zombie with a Nazi badge, while IGN reported seeing a zombie poster mimicking the classic Black Ops character pose with the text “Only the cursed survive” above it.
Lamia also said that the team is trying to make the mode as accessible as possible while still making it a separate entity from the other modes.
“It’s its own game that ships with Black Ops III,” Lamia says, adding that it won’t be anything like the Black Ops III campaign or multiplayer.
Treyarch is sure to reveal more before the game’s November 6 release, and we’re looking forward to finding out.
