We didn’t think much of it when the Xperia Z3 vanished from T-Mobile stores earlier this month. Sony’s 2014 flagship phone never made much of a splash in the U.S., and the device was starting to lose its edge against a new crop of Android handsets.
Now the Xperia Z3 is back. We’re not sure why, but we’re not complaining. Especially since T-Mobile is offering the Sony smartphone at a pretty nice discount at the moment. There’s no word on how long this offer will last, so act fast if you’re interested in grabbing the Z3 for just $500 (down from $630).
Six months after it first hit the market, the Xperia Z3 is still a pretty solid device. It packs a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 3100mAh battery, a Snapdragon 801 processor, a 20.7 megapixel camera, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with microSD support up to 128GB. It also boasts a pretty sleek glass and metal water-resistant design.
For now this is still Sony’s best smartphone, at least in America. The recently announced Xperia Z4 offers a slight upgrade, but it’s only launching in Japan at the moment. We’ve also heard rumors of an Xperia Z4 Ultra, but there’s no guarantee that will amount to anything real.
