Lenovo K80 Android smartphone revealed with 4GB of RAM

The ASUS ZenFone 2 will soon be joined by another smartphone with 4GB of RAM under the hood. Lenovo this week announced the K80, an Android smartphone that will make its debut with plenty of power for multitasking, which is what all that RAM is going to be good for, and it won’t break the bank if you’re able to find one.

According to CNMO, the Lenovo K80 is equipped with a 64-bit Intel Atom processor, support for LTE networks, Android 5.0 Lollipop, a huge 4,000mAh battery, a 13-megapixel camera with OIS, 64GB of onboard storage and a 5.5-inch 1080p resolution. Despite all of that power, the device reportedly measures just 8.5mm thin — for scale that’s 1.4mm thicker than an iPhone 6 Plus, but still isn’t bad considering the muscle on board.

The K80 will make its debut in China on April 30 and will cost about $290 (or 1,799CNY). Like the ZenFone 2, a model without as much RAM will also be available that won’t cost as much — but what’s the fun in that?
