Greg Mitchell of Epic Games is moving to Black Tusk Studios, he announced Monday via Twitter.

Mitchell is best known for his work as the cinematics director on the Gears of War games. Black Tusk Studios, of course, is working on the next Gears of War title, as Epic Games has moved onto their free to play multiplayer games Fortnite and Unreal Tournament.

Mitchell isn’t the first member of the original Gears team to make the move. The team at Black Tusk is being led by Rod Fergusson, who played a big role in helping some of the games in the original trilogy make it to shelves.

Microsoft has a big push of first party games planned for E3 this year, so we’re expecting to see what Black Tusk has planned for Gears in just a couple months.
