Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China gets a launch trailer, fresh take on the franchise

Ubisoft is taking the Assassin’s Creed franchise in a new direction for its offshoot series known as Chronicles. Here we have three separate games, the first of which is Assassin’s Creed Chornicles: China, that will each explore unique time periods from the vantage point of a new character.

China features the story of Shao Jun, the last Assassin in the Chinese arm of the Brotherhood. Shao Jun was apparently trained by none other than Ezio Auditore, the story of the Assassin’s Creed 2 line.

The game features an interesting art design and a unique 2.5D visual style that puts it more in line with something like Klei’s glorious Mark of the Ninja.

Assassin’s Creed Chornicles: China is out today for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. It’s selling for $9.99. Any takers?
