Majora’s Mask 3D edges towards 1 million sales in the States

Looks like The Legend of Zelda can still be a success in the United States. Majora’s Mask 3D, the remake fans were begging for for many years, has proven to be quite the hit for Nintendo after all.

The company has released the Nintendo 3DS exclusive’s sales figures in tandem with the NPD results, and the game has sold 730,000 copies across both the digital and physical realms over the last two months. Its second month on the market shifted 184,000 units total, taking it that much closer to being a 1 million seller.

How many months do you think it will take? I still haven’t nabbed it up yet. Maybe my sale will count towards something.

Nintendo also commented on a few of its other hits, including Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS selling 110,000 in March bringing the total to 2.4 million in the States. Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U has reached 1.6 million. Mario Kart 8 has hit 1.9 million sales, and Mario Party 10 has sold through 290,000 in its first two weeks on the market.

On the hardware front, the Nintendo 3DS sales increased 80 percent over the first three months of 2015 as compared to last year, and the Wii U also picked up at 20 percent. Decent stats all around, but I want that Majora’s Mask 3D to hit a million. That will give me all kinds of warm feelings.
