The mysterious adventure game Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, in development by The Chinese Room for the PlayStation 4, is very nearly in beta, the developer has announced.
Creative Director Dan Pinchbeck writes in a post to the PlayStation Blog that the team is working primarily on bugs and polish at this point, tweaking small navigational elements to help players more effectively explore the space they’re creating.
Pinchbeck is particularly excited about the soundtrack composed by Studio Head and Composer Jessica Curry. Pinchbeck calls it “one of the highlights of game music this year” and “one of the best game soundtracks ever created.” Earlier, Sony Computer Entertainment President Shuhei Yoshida even tweeted out to say that the song (at the end of this post) reminds him of the PlayStation 2 classic Ico.
The team doesn’t have a release date announced, but Pinchbeck says he expects to be able to announce one shortly.
