Last month we got a look at a leaked iPad Pro dummy with an interesting addition. Now, a leaked case for the long-rumored tablet seems to suggest Apple may go through with the new feature.
Both the dummy and case, which comes from perennial Apple leaker Sonny Dickson, reveal what looks like two separate ports on the same device. That could mean one for Lightning and a second for USB-C, potentially offering faster data transfers for the iPad Pro. We could also get a pair of Lightning ports designed for easy use in either landscape or portrait mode.
Either way, it’s an interesting departure from Apple’s recent iPad design. We’re also expecting the new tablet to offer a display that measures between 12 inches and 13 inches, along with stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the device. Dickson adds that the iPad Pro should also pack an A8X processor.
We’re still not sure when to expect an official iPad Pro announcement, but it probably won’t arrive until later this year. That’s when Apple typically unveils its new tablets, though it’s possible this new model could make an early debut sometime around WWDC in June.
