The release of the second wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U is approaching, and Nintendo has started to really show what the pack will include in terms of tracks and karts.
Two new videos from Nintendo of UK and Nintendo of Japan have popped up. The first, seen above, is an overview of what’s in the DLC itself. It’s in this trailer that we get a glimpse at the courses showing up as DLC. Here’s the breakdown of the eight tracks across two cups.
- Baby Park – Mario Kart: Double Dash – GCN
- Cheese Land – Mario Kart: Super Circuit – GBA
- Ribbon Road – Mario Kart: Super Circuit – GBA
- Koopa City- Mario Kart 7 – 3DS
- Wild Woods
- Super Bell Subway
- F-Zero’s Big Blue
- Animal Crossing
This next trailer is a long look at Baby Park, one of the courses from the GameCube’s Double Dash. This track was exceptionally short, but it’s solid use of drifting and amount of laps made it a lot of fun to go competitively. Oddly enough, it was one of the tracks my roommates and I played most in college.
This second pack of DLC will launch on April 23. It will also include, for free, a patch that brings 200cc into the fold. It should be nuts. Here are all the screenshots we have for this second pack of DLC for Mario Kart 8.
