LG has already confirmed that it will unveil the G4 during a press event on April 28. We already know it’s going to sport a new 5.5-inch Quad HD display, LG’s new UX 4.0 user interface, and a brand new f/1.8 camera sensor. Now we might be getting one of the best looks yet at LG’s new flagship.
The pictures were posted on an LG microsite. As Android Central notes, however, there are some specs that just don’t quite line up with what LG has already told us. It’s possible the images are legitimate and the specs were just used as placeholders. Here’s why.
First, the site apparently mentioned a 13-megapixel camera instead of the 16-megapixel camera that LG already said is coming. Also, the site, which is now down, apparently referred to Android 4.4.x KitKat instead of Lollipop, which is almost certainly launching on the G4.
We need to take the pictures with a grain of salt only because the specs oddly don’t match up. The images do seem to portray a phone with the leather back panel LG has already been teasing, however. We’ll find out how close they are come April 28.
