Moto 360 now starts at $179 from Amazon and Best Buy

Amazon and Best Buy have both dropped the price of the entry-level Moto 360 with a leather band to $179. That’s down from the standard retail price of $249.99 that you’d pay direct from Motorola’s Moto Maker website. There’s also sales on other models, should you prefer a bit more metal in your life.

Gizmodo first noticed the price drop on Amazon, where you can buy the leather model with a stone strap for $179, with a black leather strap for $209, or the metal option for a more expensive but still cheaper $229. A quick Google search also revealed that Best Buy is honoring similar prices; the leather option will also set you back $179 while the metal version is priced $10 cheaper, at $219.

The Moto 360 is still a fantastic smartwatch, and this suggests that perhaps retailers are ridding inventory in advance of a newer model. Also, rumor has it that Google is preparing to launch iOS support, but for now it will only work with Android devices.
