Beats Solo2 Wireless Headphones updated to match your Apple devices

Just in time for the Apple Watch and the new MacBook, Beats is rolling out three new versions of its popular wireless headphones to match Cupertino’s latest products. The Solo2 Wireless now comes in gold, silver and space gray for $299 each.

All three models seem pretty cool, though perhaps a little too flashy for some of us. If you’re looking for a new pair of headphones to match your new Apple Watch or new MacBook these should do nicely. Then again, 9to5Mac helpfully points out that you can get the exact same Solo2 Wireless in regular old black, white, red or blue for as little as $235.80 over on Amazon.

We spent some time with the Solo2 late last year and came away impressed. The audio quality is crisp, and the Bluetooth connection works great at up to 30 feet. They also pack a 12-hour battery that should get you through a full workday without too much trouble, though serious music fans may need to recharge more often.

The Solo2 Wireless was announced back in Nov. 2014, marking the first new product from Beats after it was acquired by Apple earlier that year. Beats also offers a line of urBeats earbuds in the same gold, silver and space gray colors, but those launched before the $3 billion acquisition became official.
