Motorola launches “Moto Makers” club

Motorola has quietly launched a new fan club. The company is currently sending out invitations to a mysterious new “Moto Makers” program and setting up new profiles on Facebook, Google+ and Twitter.

According to an email obtained by Phandroid, the new club will include access to exclusive Google Hangouts with Motorola executives and product designers. You’ll also get to test out new devices—sometimes before they go on sale—and attend some special events in person. Finally, Moto Makers will get early access to the latest news and updates from the company.

For now, it looks like Motorola is hand-picking members for its fan club, so check your email now to see if you made the cut. As far as we can tell membership is free, though you’ll be asked to promote Moto products in return.

We’re guessing Motorola will make an official announcement soon, though it’s unclear if you’ll be able to apply directly to Moto Makers any time soon.
