LG on Tuesday officially confirmed that it will announce the G4 during a press conference on April 28 in New York City. The company had already issued a save-the-date for the event, but this is the first time it has officially stated that we’ll be getting a first look at the new G4 flagship Android smartphone. Not that we thought otherwise.
The G4 is expected to pack a new Quad HD display, which LG just announced a few days ago, and will run the company’s new UX 4.0 software interface. We’re also expected a bump in the camera department, up to 20.7 megapixels, with a specific focus on lowlight performance, a fingerprint reader and much more.
Also, the invite suggests yet again that LG might have a leather model to show off, which we expect to offer a much more premium look and feel. TechnoBuffalo will be reporting live from the event, so circle April 28 on your calendars now.
