Retina MacBook compared to MacBook Air in new video

by Todd Haselton | April 6, 2015April 6, 2015 12:00 pm PDT

Apple’s new super thin and light Retina MacBook will go on sale in the United States on April 10. Somehow, however, a site in the Ukraine was able to get its hands on the laptop before most other folks, and had the chance to publish a video comparing the new notebook to the MacBook Air. The video follows an earlier unboxing published just five days ago.

We don’t understand Ukranian — maybe some of our readers can help us out — but we do get a nice long 15 minute look at the laptop and how it stacks up against an iPad and Apple’s other thin-and-light notebook. We also see a brief game demo benchmark that shows it capped out at around 31 frames per second rendering the graphics, which aren’t very good but is par for the course with the Core M processor. It capped out at around 23fps in another test.

Check out the video for yourself below, it’s at least a nice snack ahead of the MacBook’s launch.
