Those who purchased both the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. will finally have access to the Mewtwo DLC next month. During this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced that the Pokemon would be released on April 15 for both platforms and introduced the fighter in his very first gameplay trailer.
Those who did not purchase both versions of the game will be able purchase the character for $3.99 individually or $4.99 for both of them together. This option will be available from April 28.
An April 15 software update will also add the ability to purchase new characters, so naturally this means we have not seen the end of Super Smash Bros. roster. Who is going to be the first character up or purchase? Iwata announced the second original DLC character will be Lucas!
Yup, Lucas from Mother 3, that excellent Game Boy Advance JRPG that you’ve never downloaded and played illegitimately, and never had an amazing time doing so with the perfect fan translation. Nope, never happened.
Lucas will be available for purchase in June.
