Play Pac-Man on Google Maps right now

by Jacob Kleinman | March 31, 2015March 31, 2015 2:00 pm PDT

It’s not even April 1 yet in a large part of the world, and the first pranks are already showing up online. We’re definitely not complaining though, because this Pac-Man/Google Maps mashup is one of the coolest things we’ve seen all year.

As an early treat, Google is turning just about any map into a Pac Man arena. Just pick a destination and then click the Pac-Man icon in the bottom left corner (it should be right next to the Google Earth toggle). The map will instantly transform into the classic 1980s arcade game with slight variations based on the area you picked.

It’s pretty fun, and definitely a great time waster. I’ve never been much of a Pac-Man master, though I still managed to gobble up a few ghosts as they chased me across a small slice of Brooklyn.

Hit the source link below and head to Google Maps to try for yourself, but don’t blame us if you end up spending the whole day playing Pac-Man.
