Amazing Amazon Dash buttons let you order stuff with a click

Amazon on Tuesday introduced a crazy new gadget called the Dash Button that allow you to order goods right from its store. All you do is tap the button and your order is on the way. It’s insane. We really are living in the future.

Dash Buttons allow you to order “simple things you always run low on,” such as soap, shaving cream, trash bags, coffee, water or anything else around the house that you need quickly. When you need one of those products, simply tap the button. It then communicates with your smartphone using your home Wi-Fi connection and places an order through Amazon. You won’t need to worry about accidentally ordering too much, either: the button only registers a single order each time, and Amazon promises it’s a breeze to cancel.

“Dash Button comes with a reusable adhesive and a hook so you can hang, stick, or place it right where you need it,” Amazon explains on its site. “Keep Dash Button handy in the kitchen, bath, laundry, or anywhere you store your favorite products. When you’re running low, simply press Dash Button, and Amazon quickly delivers household favorites so you can skip the last-minute trip to the store.”

The Dash Button is currently in a closed testing phase, it seems, and will only be available for Amazon Prime customers. It’s free, however, and you can request an invitation by hitting the source below.
