Nexus 6 goes on sale in 6 more countries via Google Store

Google Nexus 6-13

Pure Android lovers across Europe can now get Google’s new Nexus 6 after the super-sized smartphone expanded its reach to six more countries via the Google Store.

When the new Google Store opened its doors earlier this month, a notable absentee was last year’s popular Nexus 5. While it was expected, it left countries that haven’t yet received the Nexus 6 without the opportunity to buy a new Google smartphone.

But for those in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Norway, and Portugal, the new Nexus 6 is now available. This takes the total number of countries where the Nexus 6 is officially sold by Google to 21.

Typical shipping times for the device are 1-2 business days, Google says, but of course, this all depends on the level of demand in each market. Some shoppers may also find that only certain colors and storage capacities are available initially.

In addition to its giant, 6-inch display with a Quad HD resolution, the Nexus 6 offers a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz, Adreno 420 graphics, up to 64GB of storage, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera.

And because it’s a Google smartphone, the device comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed — with an Android 5.1 update ready to download.
