Liu Kang confirmed for Mortal Kombat X, spoiler warning

*SPOILERS*

Is he alive? Is he dead? You never know with Mortal Kombat’s golden boy Liu Kang, but the popular martial artist has been confirmed as a playable character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat X.

Never one to remain six feet under, Liu Kang has returned from his death in Mortal Kombat 9, only now he finds his body under the control of the Elder God, Shinnok. He stands at odds with Raiden and this Earthrealm fighters, and he finds himself in the company of fellow Shaolin fighters Kung Lao and newcomer Kung Jin. Bo’ Rai Cho also makes an appearance in a cutscene, but not in a fight.

Maxim Russia has the NSFW trailer confirming the latest wave of fighters, but their names are also written in Russian. A brief teaser at the end also suggests that everyone’s favorite four armed fighter Goro will get an official trailer next.

Mortal Kombat X will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on April 14. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version will be released later in the summer.
