SteamWorld Dig

It’s official. If you own a gaming console, then SteamWorld Dig should be in your collection. “Nonavailability” is no longer an excuse now that the game is finally being brought to the Xbox One, the last holdout. It’s one of the best indie hits out there, and everybody now has a chance to see why.

Developer Image & Form confirmed the news, and it even stated that this Xbox One version will have an exclusive reference to one of its inspirations.

“We’re preparing quite an elaborate Easter egg for the Xbox One version – a gaming thing that we really wanted to reference.”

What, is it going to be Battletoads again? Microsoft exclusivity. It also says that this Xbox One version will add “a number of tweaks to make it better overall. In many cases we prefer to keep our versions similar to each other since it keeps everybody happy.”

The Xbox One version will be released in late May. Its spin-off strategy game, SteamWorld Heist, has also been confirmed for an Xbox One release as well as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
