I imagine you, dear reader, will be of one of two minds when you flip through the screenshots of Minecraft‘s latest texture pack on all console platforms. You’ll either think it’s perfectly bright and awesome, or you’ll turn around to vomit in the nearest trash can.

When I showed these pictures to a few members of our staff, those were the reactions I got. Well, maybe not so much the vomiting. Maybe more vomiting? I don’t know.

This new bright texture pack was revealed on the Xbox Wire. It will sell for 99 cents, and it’s coming to all console versions of Minecraft. Here’s the rub from them.

…the “Pattern Texture Pack” allows players to decorate their Minecraft worlds with bright colors, beautiful patterns and knitted animals.

The pack also provides a pattern-themed UI and stylized texture set that can be applied to new or previously created Minecraft worlds.

Sure, it’s silly, but those who like tweaking their Minecraft worlds with unique looks might be totally into this. And, hey, 99 cents for a texture pack is pretty cheap.

What do you think? Love or vomit?
