Kickstarter is rolling out a new feature today that makes it easier for project creators to stay in touch with supporters once they’re already fully funded. Called Spotlight, the new set of tools includes the ability to customize each project page and share updates on the production process.
Spotlight turns typically static Kickstarter projects into something more dynamic. That means letting each company design something a little more personal and unique instead of the standard page, and making it way easier to share the latest news on how each project is coming along. There’s also the option to link out to an official website, which could be useful for older crowd-funding projects that have since become full-fledged businesses.
The new feature is available now for anyone with a funded project, though Kickstarter has already partnered with a handful of companies to show off the new designs Spotlight makes possible. Check out the video announcement below, or head straight to Kickstarter to experience Spotlight for yourself.
