Batman: Arkham Asylum and City remasters rumored for Xbox One, PS4

Rumors have popped up that point towards the impending release of two remasters in the relatively recently started Batman: Arkham series.

According to IGN Italy‘s “reliable sources,” Warner Bros. Interactive is working on Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City remasters for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. They don’t say much else in the quick article, so take that “reliable sources” for what it is.

This is, pure and simple, a rumor. However, given exactly how many remasters we’ve seen over the last year or so, it’s not entirely unexpected. We’ve seen Grand Theft Auto VSleeping DogsThe Last of UsTomb Raider and a whole lot more. These remasters, in my opinion, are getting a bit out of hand.

I digress. The rumors make no mention of Batman: Arkham Origins, though that’s not entirely surprising. While not a bad game, Origins didn’t quite reach the same level of quality found in Asylum or City. It was also made by a completely separate developer.

We’ll have more on this potential remaster as it comes. That includes official confirmation or denial if and when we get either.
