New LG G4 display details spilled

by Jacob Kleinman | March 16, 2015

Last year’s LG G3 already pushed into phablet territory with it 5.5-inch display, but the upcoming G4 could go even further. A new report claims LG’s next flagship phone will boast a massive 5.6-inch screen.

The South Korean firm has put a ton of focus on its displays with recent smartphones. The LG G3 was the first commercial device with a 2K resolution available in the U.S., while the G Flex lineup offers a unique curved display. Rumor has it the LG G4 may employ a 3K display this time around.

That’s asking a lot from LG, at least if it sports a curved panel as one rumor suggested. After all, bringing the G Flex 2 up to 1080p earlier this year was impressive enough. Jumping straight to a 3K curved panel seems pretty unlikely. Other features may include a 20.7-megapixel camera, a built-in stylus and a fingerprint scanner.

OnLeaks, a Twitter account managed by NoWhereElse editor Steve Hemmerstoffer, has been leading the charge when it comes to LG G4 leaks. Hopefully, we’ll get some confirmation from another source soon ahead of the official unveiling expected sometime this spring.
