The HTC One M9 will get its official launch on March 16, according to an ePrice report, though the initial release will be limited to Taiwan. The company announced the news this week at a local ceremony, where it also revealed pricing for the device.
The new phone will be available with 32GB of storage for 21,900 Taiwan Dollars (roughly $690), or 23,900 TWD ($754) for the 64GB HTC One M9. ePrice also notes that the gold-colored variant won’t be available until April, though the silver and black versions should be offered at launch. The pink One M9 was also missing from HTC’s Taiwan event this week, so it might not be available initially either.
The HTC One M9 comes equipped with a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, a 2840mAh battery, a 20-megapixel rear camera, an UltraPixel shooter up front, 32GB of storage with microSD support and 3GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.0 out of the box along with HTC’s new Sense 7.0 software, which introduces a refined look to the company’s UI along with some interesting new features.
Unfortunately, HTC still hasn’t said exactly when the One M9 will be available around the world. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before the device gets a global launch.
