nova launcher update march 2015

There’s a lot of great Android launchers out there to choose from, but Nova is one of the best. It’s easy to customize, high-performing and gimmick-free. Now, Nova Launcher is getting even better with a huge new update.

Spotted by Droid-Life, the new version of Nova Launcher is still in beta. It’s mostly focused on bringing Google’s Material Design style to devices still running older versions of Android. That means an updated look throughout the entire launcher, more animations and new icons. You’ll also get the ability to tweak your grid size, icon size and dock while viewing the effects in real time. There’s a new search bar just for finding widgets and apps, which you can access by pulling down while you’re in the app drawer. Widgets even get their own drawer separate from all your apps in the new Nova Launcher.

There’s a ton more here, including support for Android for Work. You’ll need to join the beta group and sign up before downloading the updated launcher from Google Play. Or, you can just wait for these new features to launch in the official app. Feel free to check out the full changelog in the meantime via the source link below.
