HTC One M9 Official - 1

If you live in the U.K. and you’re hoping to bag the new HTC One M9 in gold when it goes on sale, then you’re going to need to get it on EE. The carrier has exclusivity over this color option, so you won’t find it anywhere else — at least not for a while.

“EE, the UK’s most advanced digital communications company, today announced that HTC’s new flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9, is available to pre-order on its superfast 4GEE network,” reads the carrier’s press release.

“EE is also the only UK network to offer the exclusive gold on gold variant of the handset in the UK from launch.”

The key words here are “from launch.” They suggest that although EE will be the only carrier to offer the gold model initially, its exclusivity could end later on, giving others the opportunity to sell it. In the past, deals like this have lasted around three months.

But if you can’t wait that long, you can pre-order your gold One M9 today. EE’s prices start at £31.99 (approx. $48) per month on a two-year contract, and those who pre-order before March 31 can get 4GEE Extra benefits for an additional £1.50 (approx. $2.27) a month.

This gives customers the fastest 4G data speeds, inclusive calls and texts throughout the EU, and free calls to 0800 numbers as part of their package.

EE has also confirmed it will be stocking HTC’s new Dot View II case as soon as it’s available, but the carrier did not provide a launch date for the U.K. market.
