The wait is nearly over, folks. If you’re interested in picking up the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge in the United States, you have just a few more weeks to sit tight. Verizon Wireless announced on Friday that it will begin accepting pre-orders for both phones beginning on April 1.
Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and several other U.S. carriers will sell the phones, so you don’t necessarily need to wait for Verizon. We haven’t heard specific pre-order dates for other individual carriers, just the intentions to offer the phones. Verizon didn’t provide an update on pricing in its announcement, which was posted to Twitter on Friday, and it also didn’t reveal any specific information on shipping dates. Typically, however, you should expect to receive your device within a few weeks of placing a pre-order, if not sooner.
We suspect we’re going to start to hear more about pre-orders, launch dates and pricing options from most carriers in the very near future. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more on that front.
