OnePlus One expands to 16 more countries in Europe

It’s already hard enough to secure a OnePlus One invitation, but imagine living in a country where the phone isn’t available at all. Plenty of people still don’t have any way to get their hands on the device, but today the Chinese company announced plans to offer the popular smartphone in 16 more markets across Europe.

OnePlus says its flagship phone will soon be available to all countries in the European Union. The company doesn’t offer a specific date, but it shouldn’t be long before the news goes into effect. For now, here’s the full list of countries included in the announcement:

  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Cyprus
  • Czech Republic
  • Estonia
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Ireland
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Luxembourg
  • Malta
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia

OnePlus will also hold several events across Europe to celebrate the news. The company plans to kick things off on March 9 in Warsaw, Poland before heading to Prague on March 10 and Budapest on March 12. We’re guessing the device will become available across the region sometime around then.

Six months in, the OnePlus One is still a pretty solid phone, though it’s not quite as impressive as it once was. Still, you won’t find a better device at such a low price in most countries. You could always wait around for the OnePlus 2 instead, but we’re still not expecting a follow-up smartphone until later this year.
