Last week, rumors surrounding the delay of the second episode in Square Enix and Dontnod’s initially wonderful Life is Strange started to spring up. Specifically, Destructoid offered that Square Enix had explicitly told them that the game would miss its March release.
Apparently, that claim is false, though Destructoid doesn’t really have a track record of issuing false statements from publishers. Here’s the word directly from Dontnod on their official Life is Strange Twitter account.
There have been rumours of Ep2 delay but development is on track and we're looking to release it before the end of March.

The only counter I have to this is that Dontnod didn’t specify the game’s exact release date. Previously, it was listed as March 16. Now, it’s “before the end of March.” I don’t mean to split hairs here, but a delay is a delay, regardless of whether it’s by one week or one year.
Personally, I don’t care. I just want episode two of Life is Strange to release before I forget about what went down in episode one. That’s all that matters to me.
At this rate? I need a summary of the first episode before playing. That shouldn’t be too much to ask, though, and I assume we’ll get some sort of recap before launching the second episode.
I really enjoyed Life is Strange, and it’s certainly a game you should check out. We’ll have more on the next entry as it comes.
