Sony had a bit of a surprise up its sleeves during Mobile World Congress this week. While we were originally under the impression it was going to remain relatively quiet in Barcelona, the company just announced the Xperia Z4 tablet, its latest and greatest Android slate.
The Xperia Z4 tablet is powered by an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and features what Sony says is the “world’s brightest” 2k resolution 10.1-inch display. The firm said the tablet features some other tricks, too, like the ability to tweak the audio to provide the best sound depending on what style of headphones you plug in. It also features PS4 RemotePlay so that you can stream games from your PS4 to the tablet for gaming on the same Wi-Fi network.
Other features include support for LTE networks, a large 6,000mAh battery that promises up to 17 hours of video playback, an IP68 rating against dust and water and more. Sony didn’t provide pricing and said that the Xperia Z4 Tablet will launch globally in June.
