HTC One M9 vs OnePlus One spec shootout

by Brandon Russell | March 1, 2015March 1, 2015 8:40 am PDT

The OnePlus One was our favorite phone of 2014 for many reasons. Among them was the fact that it had great specs at a great price. But it’s rapidly aging, and the big boys have come back with great new devices. Case in point: the HTC One M9, a slick new flagship that improves upon last year’s model in every way.

But don’t just don’t our word for it. Check out the specs of each device side by side below. You should know by now that it’s not all about specs, but it’s still educational to see what we’re dealing with. What makes the OnePlus One especially good is CyanogenMod 11S, so the experience ultimately trumps pure speed and power.

We won’t know how good the HTC One M9 is until we really get the chance to dig deep and see how good the new software is. On paper, Android 5.0 Lollipop and Sense 7 seems like a winning combination, but we won’t really know until we get to spend more time with the device. For now, check out how it stacks up against the OnePlus One.
