HTC One M9 vs Nexus 6 spec shootout

by Brandon Russell | March 1, 2015March 1, 2015 12:00 pm PDT

New phones are great. What’s not great is that new tech makes choosing which phone to buy even more difficult. The Nexus 6 may be old-ish, but it’s still a pretty great big phone, which means it shouldn’t be overlooked just yet.

Here’s the thing: these phones will net you very different features. Yes, they both run Android 5.0 Lollipop, but the Nexus 6 isn’t just a hulking brute; it’ll also offer the very latest software updates from Google. The One M9, however, stands out, as it has in the past, because of its slick unibody design, which is as beautiful as ever. That’s not to say the Nexus 6’s build quality is inferior, but some people might prefer the different materials being used.

It’s always hard to judge two phones based on specs alone, but the charts below will give you a clearer idea of what you’re working with. The HTC One M9 might look a lot like previous versions, but it’s still an improved device, and it’s great on HTC’s part to offer Themes this time around (something Android users already had access to already, but hey).

Which one would you pick?
