Apple constructs demo building outside Yerba Buena for March 9 event

Apple-yerba-buena-2

Remember that big white building Apple built for its big iPhone and Watch event last fall? It seems the Cupertino company is now constructing another outside the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts for its upcoming “Spring Forward” gathering on March 9.

Pictures obtained by 9to5Mac show the building being erected while guards wearing “Apple Security” shirts patrol nearby, all but confirming this is indeed an Apple structure.

It’s thought this will be another demo hall where the media will be able to take a second look at the Apple Watch before it goes on sale this April. Apple is expected to show off more features during the event, so it may be keen for attendees to try those out before they leave.

At its Watch unveiling back in September, Apple allowed the media to play with its new device, but they could do very little with it. Every unit was running a demonstration loop that prevented testers from accessing its operating system and apps.

But with its launch now just a month away, that software should be more stable and ready for its first demos.

We’re also expected to get a specific launch date during the event, and more details on pricing and availability. Apple has already confirmed it will be live-streaming the whole thing online, so you’ll be able to watch along at home.
