If you subscribe to Xbox Live, get your wallets out: Xbox Live Gold annual subscriptions are on sale right now for just $40, compared to the standard $60.

The deal is available as a code or a card through the Microsoft Store. There’s no expiration date on the price, but a lack of a big announcement from Microsoft suggests this is a temporary measure rather than a long term one. If it significantly boosts subscriptions, though, you can bet Microsoft will be rethinking that decision as it seems to have done with the Xbox One’s $349 price tag.

Xbox Live Gold gets you full access to multiplayer gaming on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in addition to the Games with Gold program that gets you free games each month on both systems as well. This is an especially good time to jump in, as the March games are Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite on Xbox 360 and Rayman Legends on Xbox One.
