FutureGrind for PS4 and PC gets a trailer – “Uniracers meets OlliOlli”

Milkbag Games has released a teaser for FutureGrind, a crazy racer bound for the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. I hadn’t even heard of this game until this morning, and then one quick trailer viewing had me digging into the press sheets and scouring over screenshots and listening to music. That’s a good sign, I believe.

As you can see in the clip, FutureGrind is all about pulling off tricks while flipping between rails. That’s all well and good, but there’s a catch to this crazy grinding situation. Here’s how the folks at Milkbag Games put it:

Your grinder has two wheels: one blue, and one red. You have to get from the start of the track to the end in one piece, while scoring the most points possible. Be careful: do NOT let the wrong wheel touch. Your blue wheel can touch blue rails, your red wheel can touch red rails, but touch the wrong rail and you’ll cause a short circuit. Watch out, short circuiting leads to, well, a bit of a mess.

In that same description, they offer that they “think it’s a bit like Uniracers meets OlliOlli.” Yep.

As for the soundtrack? So far, we have a four track EP for FutureGrind. All the tunes are original and being done up by bignic. You can listen to the first four tracks in the player at the base of this post. Dig them enough, and you can snap them up for $3.

As for when you’ll actually be able to play FutureGrind? The game is currently slated for early 2016. I know, we’re a ways away from that; but, the tunes, teaser trailer and screenshots have all come together in order to push me towards keeping this one on my radar. Honestly, they had me at “Uniracers meets OlliOlli.”

Will have more on this one as it comes, so stay tuned.
