Motorola doesn’t have any major plans for Mobile World Congress in early March, but the company still has something up its sleeve. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, Motorola says it will reveal a mystery device that can fit inside a box. Hm? Phones can fit in boxes. Smartwatches can fit in boxes. Big Boss can fit in boxes.
There haven’t been too many rumors regarding new Motorola gear, so what the company has planned is a complete mystery. The first Moto 360 was officially unveiled on March 8, 2014, although the device wasn’t officially made available until much later in the year, on Sept. 5. Is Motorola going to announce the second version of its famous wearable? That’s the likeliest scenario, especially with the Apple Watch release just a few months away.
Of course, it could be anything at this point.
Here’s what Motorola said about the mystery event: “Motorola is making an exciting announcement next week and wants you to experience it.” No clues there. But it does fit inside of a box. To be fair, lots of things fit in boxes. But, anyway, we’ll find out what it is soon.
