Watch this Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge concept video

Concept videos are always a fun look at how artists in our community envision new products ahead of launch. Sometimes artists like to tweak things to the extreme, while others like to try to imagine what the device might look like ahead of launch. The latter style can be amazing, particularly when the artist gets it close. Now we have a new concept video that shows what the Galaxy S6 and what the Galaxy S6 Edge might look like, according to the imagination of Jermaine Smit and Ivo Marić.

The video shows an industrial design that looks like a blend between Samsung’s Galaxy A7 smartphone and the Galaxy Note 4. We see metallic edges and what appears to be an aluminum unibody — at least looking at the bottom of the phone where the charging port and speaker reside. We also see that the Galaxy S6 Edge imagines two slopes on either side of the screen, similar to what we saw on the Galaxy Note 4 only mirrored across the phone.

The concept seems a bit bulky and squarish to us, but it’s possible that we’ll see some of the added bulk in areas such as the camera lens, particularly if Samsung adds a 20-megapixel sensor as is rumored. What do you think of the concepts?
