The Order: 1886 is one of the PlayStation 4’s early flagship exclusives for 2015. The game made our most exciting of the year list for the console only last week, and we’ll have our chance to pick it up as it launches tomorrow.
In order to signify the release, Ready At Dawn and Sony have dropped a fresh launch trailer for us to consume. You’ll find that at the head of this post.
I’ve been hearing some mixed things about The Order: 1886. The largest complaints about the game focus on its length. It’s supposedly only about five hours long with cutscenes, so you’ll be looking at a short AAA experience with this one. Not that there’s really anything wrong with that. It’s up to you, the gamer and consumer, to decide if the price is right with all games, The Order: 1886 included.
Me? I don’t mind short games. Even at full price, as long as a game is paced well and delivers rewarding mechanics, I’m fine with ponying up full price. 5 hours or 500 hours, it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s good.
Maybe I’m alone in that regard, I’m not sure. Will you be grabbing The Order: 1886 this week?
