LG’s new curved smartphone, the G Flex 2, will make its debut on Sprint in March, the carrier announced on Thursday. The G Flex 2 was first introduced during CES 2015, where we had a chance to go hands-on with a unit, and features plenty of upgrades over last year’s model.
The rear cover, for example, is even better at self-healing small scratches and dings. It’s also equipped with an improved 13-megapixel camera with OIS+, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 2GB of RAM, expandable storage — a feature that was left out of last year’s model — and a sharper 5.5-inch 1080p display. And it’s that display that’s the main attraction, of course, because of its curved and somewhat flexible design. It’s unique, though we never really found its full purpose on the original G Flex. Maybe that will all change this time.
The G Flex 2 will be available on Sprint for $0 down and with 24 monthly payments of $21, Sprint said. Pre-orders for the smartphone start Friday, Feb. 20, and it lands in stores on March 13.
